SCREEN PRINTING : SPECIALITY INKS

Specialty inks are a great way to add an eye-catching touch to your custom t-shirts.

PUFF INK: Puff ink is a type of plastisol ink that contains a heat-reactive foaming agent. When exposed to high temperatures during the curing process, the ink expands and creates a raised, three-dimensional effect on the printed area. This creates a unique texture and look that is popular for adding depth and dimension to custom designs.

SUEDE INK: Suede ink is also a type of plastisol ink that creates a more subtle effect than puff ink. It contains an additive that mimics the texture of suede leather, creating a soft, velvety finish on the printed area. This type of ink is popular for creating a vintage or distressed look on custom t-shirts.

GLITTER INK: Glitter ink is a popular choice for adding sparkle and shine to custom designs. It contains small glitter particles that reflect light and create a shimmering effect on the printed area. However, it may not be suitable for detailed designs, as the glitter particles can obscure small details.

DENSITY INK: Density ink is a type of plastisol ink that is specially formulated to produce a thick, opaque layer of ink. This ink is typically used to achieve a solid and vivid print on dark-colored fabrics. Density ink is applied in multiple layers and can be used to create raised and textured prints.

REFLECTIVE INK : Reflective ink is another type of specialty ink that is highly reflective under low-light conditions, making it a popular choice for safety gear, athletic wear, and fashion apparel. This ink contains reflective glass beads that reflect light back to its source, creating a highly visible effect. Reflective ink can be used on its own or combined with other inks to create unique designs. It is important to note that reflective ink has a more textured feel compared to other types of ink and may require a thicker mesh screen for printing. Additionally, reflective ink should be washed inside out in cold water and line-dried to ensure longevity

GLOW INK : Glow-in-the-dark ink is another type of specialty ink that is often used for creating eye-catching designs. This ink contains a photo-luminescent pigment that absorbs light and then glows in the dark after the light source is removed. Glow ink is typically used for creating fun and unique designs on custom t-shirts, hoodies, and other apparel items. It is a great choice for creating designs that are meant to be seen in low light or dark environments. Keep in mind that the intensity and duration of the glow effect may vary based on factors such as the amount of ink used, the color of the garment, and the length of time the ink is exposed to light.

It is important to note that the thickness of the speciality inks can cause cracking over time, especially if it is not washed properly. Therefore, it is recommended to use speciality ink only on certain designs and in small areas. Additionally, washing the garment inside out in cold water and drying it on low heat can help extend the life of the print.
